A Glorious Kick-Off: AJL25 Screening Sets the Tone for a Thrilling Season
The long-anticipated Aspire Juvenile League Screening Exercise saw an electrifying turnout as football teams from every nook and cranny of Akure converged to compete and connect. In attendance were:

Each team arrived in full colors, buzzing with youthful energy and raw talent. However, Tubaba Football Academy was notably absent.
The screening, ably coordinated by Mr. Olaitan Kayode Raphael, took place at St. Mathias High School Field between 10:15 AM and 2:30 PM on Saturday, July 27, 2025. Under his keen supervision, the selection process was conducted with fairness, discipline, and transparency—values that form the bedrock of the Aspire Juvenile League.
Clad in their official kits, the teams stood tall and proud as they underwent a thorough screening. Pictures and videos were captured—both collectively and individually—immortalizing the moment for the stars of tomorrow.
As a thrilling bonus, teams engaged in a 30-minute preseason knockout tournament. After a fiercely contested final, Chicharito Boys emerged victorious, clinching a well-deserved cash prize after defeating Arsenal Kidz in a nerve-wracking penalty shootout.
Following the on-field activities, the AJL Management and League Administrators met with team coaches and staff. The gathering was purposeful: official handover of footballs, caps, and league guidelines, as well as strategic discussions about the path forward for the league.
The screening exercise was a resounding success. It fulfilled its mission—ensuring fair play, collecting essential data, evaluating team readiness, and igniting excitement for the league’s kickoff. Aspire Juvenile League has taken its first bold step, and the journey ahead promises to be nothing short of spectacular.
