Adeleke FA recorded their first win of the season with a comfortable 3-0 win against Arsenal Kidz away from home.
It was a cool and calm atmosphere on Wednesday at Eji Oba, Oba-Ile. Both teams are looking to get on the mark.
Adeleke FA came into the game on the back of a 2-2 draw against Mateco FA, while Arsenal Kidz is having the first taste of the league on their home ground.
A dull opening minutes, which saw both sides finding it hard to keep the possession. The shots in the opening minutes came from dead balls, which didn’t trouble the goalkeepers.

Adeleke FA looked more threatening, and they nicked a goal in the 22nd minute to take the lead. The Adeleke no. 9 setting up Ezekiel Victor through on goal, who placed the ball in the bottom-right corner. Ezekiel Victor added to his 2 assists he had in the first game to make it 3 goals contributions for the season.
The first half ended with the game balanced and much to play for in the second interval.
With the change of football personnel, the second half sparked life early on with Arsenal Kidz, with applying pressure on Adeleke’s defence, trying to find the equaliser.
Arsenal Kidz’s Sesan Stephen was causing a lot of problems on the right wing. The youngest player in the league of age 10 alongside their no. 10 created chances, but unfortunately, there was no one to bury them.
The feeling of losing a lead was beginning to creep amidst the Adeleke players and fans with the Arsenal Kidz pressure, but they were able to pick themselves and gain momentum and had their first shot on goal in the second half at the 57th minutes.
They got the much needed second goal in the 70th minute through Onu Ifeanyi, who was quick to react to the loose ball after a deep cross from Josiah Pius to make it to 2-0.
It was all Adeleke from that time. They created more chances, and they had a ball cleared off the line. They were gunning for a third.
Against an Arsenal Kidz who have run out of gas, Adeleke capitalised, as they made it 3-0, 3 minutes from time through the substitute, Oluwarotimi Taiwo
With the game put to bed, Adeleke still looked sharp, and they could have had a 4th, but the Arsenal Kidz, goalkeeper, not only denied them but salvaged some pride for his team.
A comfortable and comprehensive win for Adeleke means they go top with 4 points ahead of the weekend games.
Arsenal Kidz will look to bounce back in their next game as they travel to Igoba to face Mateco FA while Adeleke will host FA Brave Eagles in what promises to be an entertaining clash.
